I love the idea of vintage lingerie. There is something so completely beautiful and old fashioned about it. That’s not to say that it’s not sexy. Oh no no no, quite the contrary girlfriends. Truth told most of the lingerie styles that we associate with really sexy lingerie are throw backs from days gone by. When do you think women actually wore corsets, bustiers, and thigh high stockings? These are all styles from fabulous days gone by, and now we just go out and buy them to seduce our boyfriends. What would the women of those eras have to say about that? Maybe we should all be raiding our mothers attic’s for our sexy stuff. It may just be a very worthwhile trip.
Some of the old stuff does look itchy and uncomfortable. But it’s undeniably sexy, even the old pointy bras and the girdles with garters attached. They definitely have an old fashioned almost innocent sex appeal about them. I’m a fan, and this might actually be one of those times where my mother really knew something, but she apparently wasn’t telling.
Stores that sell vintage-style lingerie are popping up all over the place. Walking into one of them recently it was as if I was in a store from a bygone era, with photos of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe adorning the walls. The merchandise did have a little old fashioned flair to it, but it’s very beautiful. It’s elegant and classic. Vintage lingerie is absolutely hot and very very sexy. If you are looking for something truly special to add to your lingerie wardrobe. then a look into the past may very well be just the way to go! xo J.
If you’ve been in a relationship for any length of time, it’s entirely possible that some of the fire that was originally in your love life has waned. It’s frustrating and annoying. Most of us long for the old days when your partner just couldn’t keep his hands off of you, and the TV collected dust. Unfortunately, due to hectic lifestyles and a plethora of other modern day exhaustion’s, sometimes couples are just too tired, busy or distracted to “do it” as much as they used to.
Alright then, since I can’t get you out of the beige mode, here’s what I am going to suggest for you ladies loyal to neutrality. How about a sassy champagne color in a super silky fabric? That would be a start to amp up your beige. Take your beige one step up to say a honey, coffee, caramel…well, they are all more or less beige and can be downright fantastic on most any skin tone, even the most pasty . A nice deep toffee color really warms up your skin and yes, will make you look a bit more sun-kissed. Even the most washed out winter complexions can be helped out with a warm “cappuccino” color. (Getting my drift here?) You can wear your beige but still be very, very sexy. Try something sultry and brown or maybe live dangerously in a “blush” beige–or perhaps something even a little transparent–oooh, ladies now we are talking! xo J.
